Winter Tale

“Povestea de Iarnă” (Winter Tale) with LUPII lui Calancea is a project that brings people together for one purpose—charity. Every year, audiences experience the holiday atmosphere through an original repertoire of carols and ancestral songs performed in a modern style.

The project brings the holiday spirit back to where hope, care, and magic are most needed—children’s homes, placement centers, nursing homes for the elderly and people with disabilities, as well as music schools and arts schools. The main goal is to put a smile on the faces of those who need support, offering not only a show but also moments of joy and solidarity.

For four editions, on the stage of the National Palace, LUPII lui Calancea have created “Povestea de Iarnă” (Winter Tale) together with Surorile Osoianu, Guz, the “Ștefan Vodă” Folkloric Ensemble, Nicolae Botgros, and the “Lăutarii” orchestra—each artist bringing their unique contribution to the festive atmosphere. The concert is not only a celebration of traditions but also a call for generosity, encouraging the audience to get involved and offer support to vulnerable communities.

Over the course of these editions, significant funds have been raised and allocated to various social initiatives, thus demonstrating the power of music to unite and transform lives.
